Year 7 and 8 Learn From Mr Liu Ka Shiang About Oral Literacy

Year 7 and Year 8 students met with the award-winning author Mr. Liu Ka Shiang on the 4th of November and learned about the importance and practice of oral literacy.
By telling stories he collected from other young students, Mr. Liu encouraged students not only to observe the world around them and reflect on their daily life but also to practice consistently plotting and structuring their stories to engage their listeners.

In the last segment of the workshop, Mr. Liu invited students to share their own stories with him. Many students bravely stood up and spoke in front of the audience.
Everyone had fun learning with Mr. Liu!
